United Cup 2024: Draws, Dates, History & All You Need To Know

A host of top stars from both the ATP Tour and the Hologic WTA Tour will compete at the 2024 United Cup in Perth and Sydney, Australia. Team United States will defend the crown they won at the mixed teams competition in 2023, while the No. 1 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings Novak Djokovic will make his event debut for Team Serbia.

When is the United Cup?
The 2024 United Cup will be held from 29 December, 2023 to 7 January, 2024. The outdoor hard-court event, established in 2023, will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth and the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre. The tournament director is Stephen Farrow.

What is the format & who is playing at the 2024 United Cup?
The event will see 18 teams placed into six groups of three. The group stages will consist of round robin ties where each team will play both other teams in their group. Each tie will consist of one ATP singles match, one WTA singles matche and one mixed doubles match. The top team from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, with one quarter-final spot also awarded to the best runner-up team in both Perth and Sydney.

Nine of the world’s Top 20 men will feature, including Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev and Casper Ruud. Five of the world’s Top 10 women will feature, including Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula, Maria Sakkari and Marketa Vondrousova.

What is the prize money for the 2024 United Cup?
The 2024 United Cup will offer a minimum of US$10 million in total prize money and participation fees, with a minimum of US$5 million each for ATP and WTA players, respectively. The total prize money is split into three components: participation fee, per team wins and prize money (defined below).
